This tutorial was created by Ann Luck at Pennsylvania State University's Center for Academic Computing. It provides cohesive templates, advice, things to look out for and lots of downright insightful information.

Online Teaching Guides

An Introduction to Classroom Assessment Techniques

This guide, developed by the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (Penn State), provides a good overview of assessment techniques such as the "Background Knowledge Probe" and "Minute Paper" (complete with examples).

Penn State World Campus Faculty Development Orientation page

This is the actual training manual for online instructors at Penn State's World Campus online university. The site provides a great introduction and tutorial covering everything you need to know about developing an online curriculum.

This contains pointers to examples of how technology is used to support such learning activities as case-based learning and simulations.

Tools for Online Education

Project Management and Assessment Tools

This database was designed for use in engineering courses, but many of the instruments could be easily adapted to other subject areas that also use teams or collaborative learning.
